Reviews and Ratings
I had a mixed experience at this hotel. The room was clean, but some amenities were outdated, and there weren't enough plugs for electronics. However, having a balcony with a lake view was a must for me, and the hotel accommodated that request. The service was friendly but struggled with my reservation change, and the location, although a bit far from my conference site, offered a nice view of the lake. The dining options were limited, and the facilities were minimal.
Initially, I was put in a different room that was leaking all over the floor and had trash in the corners, which was not a great start. On the bright side, the hotel recommended a good restaurant - Fisherman's Wharf. The location was a bit away from my conference site but had a nice Mexican Restaurant with very friendly people and great Margaritas. The dining experience could've been better, but it was still okay with limited options available. Despite this issue, the businessman who owns the hotel has done a great remodel, and the hotel overlooks the lake. The stand in the lobby for food and drinks was barely stocked, and I was argued about my reservation made in January, but the staff should ensure there is absolutely no hair anywhere. The hotel offers great breakfast choices, including eggs, sausages, and pastries along with the typical cereal and muffins.
My stay at the hotel was a mix of positives and negatives. The rooms were a bit shabby but surprisingly spacious and the breakfast was decent. However, there was a horrible musty smell that was off-putting. The service wasn't the most professional or courteous, lacking small gestures like asking if everything was okay. On the bright side, the location was great with a nice Mexican restaurant next door and the perfect place to unwind after busy days.
